This 54 year old professor from a medical college was referred to us with severe damage to both hips and a fracture through her right side due to rheumatoid arthritis On the right side she had surgery to fix her pelvis discontinuity followed by bone grafting and a replacement. On her left side she had a replacement with an augment to build up the wall. She now back to work, and is able to do her daily chores without any restrictions.
Imaging revealed extensive bilateral hip destruction with pelvic discontinuity on the right. Her mobility and quality of life were severely affected.
